DownloadVigil works with cameras and DVRs that provide RTSP or ONVIF streams. During setup, it probes each stream and reports its reachability, codec, and resolution. It also warns when a camera uses H.265 so you can check playback compatibility before recording.

You can choose the recordings directory and change the default seven-day retention period. For an optional off-site copy, Vigil can archive recordings to Google Drive in the background.

Enter your recorder address in the hosted dashboard or mobile app, then sign in with your Vigil account. Live view, events, and playback continue to come from your own server.
